Hiding In The Dark, Exposed By Light

In this message, “Hiding in the Dark, Exposed By Light,” we follow two very different people with one shared struggle: Nicodemus, the respected religious leader who slips to Jesus by night, and the Samaritan woman, the outcast who hides in plain sight at noon.

Through their stories, this sermon explores how we can live in spiritual “shadows”—loving reputation, comfort, or secrecy more than the transforming light of Christ. You’ll be challenged to recognize where you might be hiding behind religion, shame, or fear, to hand Jesus “the key to that room” in your heart you won’t let anyone touch, and to step out of the shadows and live as the light of the world in everyday places—grocery stores, workplaces, and neighborhoods.

If you’re tired of pretending, tired of carrying hidden burdens, and ready for real freedom and intimacy with God, this message will invite you into the light that heals, exposes, and restores.
